Our Story
Who We Are
What began with a small group of concerned citizens uniting to help people experiencing homelessness in the city of Middletown, New York during the early 1970s, has evolved today to a charitable community of individuals dedicated to providing shelter and comprehensive services to the most vulnerable and needy across New York’s lower Hudson Valley region.
Fulfilling a mission that began 50 years ago, HONOR continues to pave the way towards housing stability for those who need it. And there’s more! With the support of compassionate community partners, we have introduced new services, expanded community outreach, and provided emergency, as well as sustainable housing options for families, young children and individuals.
With compassion and respect, HONOR is dedicated to identifying ways to help each person and family find safety, respite and access to the individualized support they need, that inspires lasting independence for those affected by homelessness and poverty.
