Emergency Housing
If you’re facing acute homelessness and have been referred by the Department of Social Services, our Emergency Housing program is designed to provide you with a safe place to stay. HONOR offers an adult shelter as well as a family shelter providing a safe and secure environment for all those in indeed. These shelters are located at our Middletown, N.Y. facility. Our Crisis Services program goes beyond just providing a roof over your head. We offer a wide range of services to foster growth, development, and self-sufficiency.

Community Outreach
- Street Outreach: Specially trained HONOR staff members proactively seek out individuals who are homeless and haven’t yet found shelter with the goal of addressing their immediate needs, offering food and other essentials, all while working to transition them away from the streets and into the comprehensive services HONOR provides.
- Safe Options Support (SOS): HONOR is one of several agencies that collaborate with Orange and Dutchess counties to provide crucial support to those experiencing street homelessness for those suffering from mental illness. Learn more here.
Food Pantry
HONOR’s community food pantry provides access to nutritious food — available to all Orange County residents — while working to improve the health and well-being of our community. Open 5 days a week, servicing working families, individuals, veterans and seniors, our food pantry is the single largest in Orange County, New York. With support from the Nourish New York Initiative and the NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets, we offer fresh seasonal produce, poultry, beef, dairy, dry goods and canned foods in a market style setting. Nearly 300 families rely on HONOR’s food pantry each week.
HONOR’s food pantry is found at 38 Seward Avenue, Middletown, NY.
Hours of service are:
Monday 7am-12 pm
Tuesday 7 am – 12 pm
Wednesday 2pm – 7 pm
Thursday 2pm – 7 pm
Friday 7am – 12 pm
