Adult Shelter
Emergency housing for Orange County single men and women in need of shelter.
Located in Middletown, NY; HONOR provides emergency housing for single men and women in need. Guests are welcome for a limited time frame, generally 90 days, during which they are provided a warm, safe environment, three nutritionally balanced meals each day and participation in our LINKS program which is designed to create an independent living plan that will help them move forward so our services will no longer be needed.

Family Shelter
Emergency housing for families and single women who have been displaced as a result of crisis or unforeseen circumstances
Our Middletown, New York facility provides a temporary home to 12 – 13 families and 8-10 single females on any given night. Each guest is provided three nutritionally balanced meals each day, in a warm, safe and welcoming environment. Children are provided busing to and from the school district where they currently attend school. Each family or single female receives counseling as well as a variety of services to enable them to become self-sufficient.

Ecclesia House
Transitional housing in the city of Newburgh for homeless single women on the path to self-sufficiency
Residents are referred by staff at HONOR’s Family Shelter for a stay of up to six months at Ecclesia House. This facility provides safe transitional housing for women who demonstrate potential for achieving total independence and self sufficiency. Ecclesia House staff prepare three nutritionally balanced meals a day and strive to help the residents learn skills to help them transition into society.

Stephen Saunders Residence
Permanent housing and support to individuals with disabilities or a history of chronic homelessness.
HONOR’s HUD funded residence provides permanent housing in the form of 10 apartments located in the city of Newburgh, New York. Residents have a variety of issues including disabilities, behavioral disorders or a history of chronic homelessness. HONOR provides case management, financial case management, and health homes management.

Housing First
A HUD subsidized rental assistance program
providing 36 apartments located throughout Orange County
HONOR provides immediate access to housing through Housing First. The idea is to help the chronically homeless take care of their housing first for a specified period of time, generally up to a year, while providing counseling and other support services to assist their transition into traditional living.
As this program is HUD sponsored, there are certain eligibility requirements.
